Apple finally opened its second official retail store in the national capital today. The Apple Saket store was unveiled by Chief Executing Officer Tim Cook at 10 am. This is the second store, after Apple threw open its first store in Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai a day ago.
Tim Cook, who met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, also met customers visiting the Apple Saket.
The store has a 70-member strong team, half of them are women. The team comprises of people coming from India's 18 different states who can speak more than 15 Indian languages.
Apple Saket offers services like Genius Bar, dedicated pickup stations and Today at Apple sessions. Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail, said “We’re thrilled to bring the best of Apple to our customers in Delhi with the opening of our second store in India, Apple Saket."
This move is being seen as a significant milestone for Apple, which has struggled to establish a foothold in the Indian market.
